Hey all,
*This was just announced to me officially today so I apologize to for making a new journal so soon.
*Adams, now 91, has written: "It is my firm belief that to build on the quiet meadows of Sandleford would be an ugly invasion, a nasty wound to one of the loveliest retreats in all Berkshire and Hampshire. I understand that houses need to be built, and that people need homes to live in. But any dispassionate examination of the situation leads to the emphatic conclusion that this land should not be built on."
I would like to notify the members on a recent scare of planning permissions that will take place to destroy the real Watership Down and its countryside in order to build 2000 new homes. This is utterly appalling and it makes my stomach turn. There is an official petition which I will link at the end of this journal and the article that goes into detail of what these people plan to destroy. Richard Adams himself has joined in with the protesters, along with local people and many others, personally for me this is heartbreaking and I am sure to many members it is too.
Please I urge you if possible to sign the petition (international signatures are welcome) and to spread the news.
If this planning permission goes ahead the real Watership Down will remain only in the imagination and no one will be inspired by such countryside again.
Below are the petition links and online support groups that update on the progress of stopping the planning:

Just so you know we're not dead!
Also I'm looking for a moderator or two that would co-operate with me and help me run the group :3

1st Big Summer Art Contest WINNERS!!!
The time has come! It's time to announce the winners!
First of all I'm happy that we had so many participants! I hope that everyone had fun and we hope to see you again in next years edition! :3
It was hard to pick only three winners. I enjoyed every single one of the entries but the choice had to be made!
Ok, no more waiting.
Here are the three winners!
1st place:
~moonbeam-goddess (https://www.deviantart.com/moonbeam-goddess) with her entry "It's a shape"
Her entry was one of the most creative ones! She combined cut out characters with a real background and real stones! That was a very original idea!
2nd place:
:iconFerianMoon: with her entry "U Hrair"
